Delightful and privateThis cosy pool-side condo provides all you may need during your holidays in the sun. Travelling with a 14-month old baby is always a challenge, but we enjoyed: ground-level placement with an easy access for the stroller, well equipped kitchen (for all those late-night heated milk bottles), spacious bedroom that easily accommodated the portable crib and safely-fenced outside space. The wild beach outside was at times too rough for the baby, but a nice pool (if cold) and a number of child-friendly beaches within an easy drive form the resort more than made up for it. The owners are great, providing accurate and timely information and obviously are savvy rental managers. Local resort staff could use better training, but it is the islands, after all. Great stay.
Paradise...My wife and I took our first trip to TCI. Let me start with, the resort is gorgeous! It's extremely well maintained and kept up. Charles, the property manager, introduced himself the first morning we were there. He and his staff are friendly and attentive. Being no more than 30 minutes away from anything on the island, makes this resort EXACTLY what were looking for...seclusion from the hustle and bustle. The condo is perfect for a couple. It is clean and comfortable. Steps away from the beautiful pool and just a few more to the beach. The owners are fantastic. Hugh was very responsive, often replying to emails in less than an hour. They were also very flexible as we were concerned about an incoming hurricane. As it turned out, it made a last minute turn and missed the island completely. The resort is gorgeous, the owners are fantastic...you won't be disappointed if you're looking for a great place to recharge your batteries! We are already planning our return visit!
Owner response: We are so happy that you enjoyed the place and island as much as we do. It truly is a slice of paradise and we are glad we could accommodate you. You are most welcome back anytime!
Perfect for R&R in paradise - this is a hidden gemMy wife and I stayed for two weeks in this gorgeous condo that provided everything we needed and more. The pool is conveniently located just steps from the front door and the beach is only another 100 steps beyond that. We could not believe how quiet it was throughout our stay. At times, it felt like we were the only ones on the resort, enjoying the serenity of blue skies, wind in the trees, and waves on the beach. If you are looking for a place to truly let down and recharge, this is it. We did not have a complaint the entire time. Hugh and Magdalena have put thought and care into every detail, and Hugh is very responsive if you ever need to be in touch. On top of that, Charles, the Property Manager, is readily available and will do whatever he can to make sure you are having a great stay. We met some of the other owners as well, all warmly welcoming and full of good advice. Having a car is definitely worth it as you will want to make visits other beautiful beaches around the island (Sapodilla Bay is brilliant for swimming and sunsets) and enjoy the restaurants (Las Brisas was our favorite). It was always refreshing though to come back to Northwest Point Resort and be able to cool off in the pool or relax in the hot tub on cooler nights (not many of those when we were there, but not too hot at all and the condo stays cool through AC or cool breezes). We were grateful to find such a haven, and we hope to be back as soon as we can! Thank you, Hugh and Magdalena!
Perfect for our familyOur family includes a 4 and 2 year old. We were looking for a beach front, affordable condo and did not mind the driving. Before booking, what I liked about the condo is the competitive pricing, on a ground level so we don’t have to worry about the kids playing in the balcony, and being steps away from the pool. What I liked about the property itself from the pictures is its seclusion and true island feeling. During my research I was considering Sibonne and other 1 bed rooms on Grace Bay which were twice to trice this condo’s rate. We made a great choice by staying in this condo and in Northwest Point resort. It is about 15 minutes from the airport. The unpaved portion of the road is in great condition. The resort itself is well maintained, clean, safe with a security guard on duty at night, nice manager and helpful staff. The landscape is just beautiful with a good touch of wilderness. My wife and I were able to swim once at the resort beach but it was too rough for the kids. Yes there is seaweed, that is raked and removed daily but the charm is the beach in its true state. The only beach we found safe for the little kids was Sapodilla. Grace Bay, Leeward, and Long Bay were all similar to Northwest Point in roughness. The condo itself is beach house decorated with everything you need to have a comfortable vacation. It is very clean. The kitchen has everything you need to cook breakfast or any other light meal. We used it only to make quick breakfasts. The washer and dryer were great to have in the unit as we were able to pack light. There is internet but is slow sometimes. There is cable TV with all the premium movie channels. One thing I will never forget about this condo is the beach view from the kitchen counter. It really gives you the confirmation you are on an island. Last but not least, the owner is easy to deal with and will provide you with all the details you need before you start your vacation. The owner provides with beach chairs and I borrowed an old umbrella from the resort staff to use at other beaches. Again I am glad we chose this condo versus a Grace Bay one, as we wound up going primarily to Sapodilla Bay. I would recommend both the condo and resort to singles; couples for seclusion and privacy; and families with young children to let them free range. The drive from the resort all the way to the other end of the Island (Conch Farm/Leeward) is about 25 minutes.
About the owners: Magdalena and Hugh are school Principals in Vancouver BC. They love to travel the world and on one of their trips stopped in on Turks and Caicos and just had to have a place to call home! They hope you fall in love with the island too and hope you enjoy the stay at their place. .
